Sauerkraut

Ingredients:
• 20-28 large heads of Sweet Grown Alabama cabbage, shredded or cut
• Salt
Supplies:
• Churn
• Jar
• Soft Cloth
• String
Directions:
- Pack cabbage in churn.
- Cover cabbage leaves in one cup of salt.
- Cover with 3 other cabbage leaves.
- Put weight on top and cover.
- Watch everyday or 2 for mold.
- If water gets low add a little more. Use soft cloth and tie cabbage inside with string.
- Leave for 9-10 days .
- Put in pan and bring to a boil.
- Put in hot jars and seal.
